Terms of Use
Last updated 18 September 2026
These terms apply to everyone who uses Weave. By creating an account you agree to them. Contact: tjong.willem@gmail.com.
Who can join
- You must be 16 or older. You confirm your age when you sign up.
- You use your real name and give honest information about your studies or work.
- One account per person.
What Weave is
Weave introduces people for short, honest mentorship conversations — usually a single 30-minute call. Weave is not a school, an employer, a recruitment agency or a counselling service, and we do not supervise the content of conversations in real time. Advice you receive is one person's opinion, not professional guidance.
Community rules
- Be respectful. No harassment, bullying, discrimination, sexual content or threats.
- Never ask a member for money, personal financial details, or intimate images or information.
- Do not ask a younger member to move the conversation to a private channel outside Weave, and do not request an in-person meeting.
- Keep what is shared in a conversation private. Do not record a call without the other person's clear agreement.
- Do not scrape, resell or republish member profiles.
- Show up to calls you accept, or cancel in good time.
Adults and members aged 16 or 17
Adult members may be matched with 16- and 17-year-olds. If you are an adult talking with a younger member, extra rules apply: keep the conversation on the topics the member asked about, stay on the Weave-scheduled call, never request private contact details, and never arrange to meet in person. Breaking these rules leads to immediate removal and, where appropriate, a report to the relevant authorities. See our child safety policy.
Your content
You keep ownership of everything you write. You give Weave permission to display your profile to other members and, in anonymised form (first name only), to signed-out visitors, so that people can see who is on the network. You can edit or delete your profile at any time.
Suspension and removal
We may suspend or delete an account that breaks these rules, is under 16, impersonates someone, or puts another member at risk. Serious safeguarding concerns are reported to the appropriate authorities.
Ending your account
You can delete your account at any time from your profile page. Deletion is permanent and removes your profile and personal records, except where we must keep limited safety records.
Liability
Weave is provided as-is and free of charge. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for decisions you make based on a conversation, or for the conduct of other members. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for death, personal injury or fraud, and your statutory consumer rights are unaffected.
Changes and law
If we make a material change, we will tell registered members by email. These terms are governed by the law of the country in which Weave is established, and mandatory consumer protections in your own country of residence still apply.
These terms are provided in good faith and should be reviewed by a qualified lawyer before relying on them for a specific legal obligation.
