A free student network
Talk to a student who's already been there.
Weave is a free network of high school and university students. Make a profile, find the person whose path matches yours, and have one 30-minute call. That's it.

How it works
Three steps. No learning curve.
Make a profile
A short chat builds it for you — your path, and who you want to meet.
Find your person
Everyone is ranked by how well they fit what you're looking for.
Have one call
They accept, you both pick times, we send the invite and video link.
Who it's for
Two sides of the same conversation.
High school students
Ask the student who was you last year.
- What a course load, dorm or campus actually feels like — not the brochure version.
- How they built their application: activities, essays, tests, what they'd redo.
- Whether the school you're set on is really the school for you.
Free. One call. No coaching contract, no upsell.
University students
Share what you know. Meet people worth knowing.
- Answer the questions you wish someone had answered for you — in 30 minutes, once.
- Get matched with students and peers who overlap with your path, major or industry.
- You set your own cap on intros, and you approve every single one.
Free. You choose how many conversations you take.

Good to know
What Weave is, in plain words.
What actually happens when I join?
You answer a short set of questions about your school, your subjects and what you want to figure out. That builds your profile. You then browse students, each ranked by how closely their path lines up with yours, and request one introduction. If they accept, you both share availability and we send a calendar invite with a video link. The whole thing takes a few minutes to set up and one 30-minute call to complete.
Who am I talking to?
Current university students and recent graduates who volunteered to answer questions about their school, their course, their application and what daily life is really like. They are not admissions consultants, tutors or coaches. They are people who applied to the same places you are considering, one or two years ago, and remember exactly how it felt.
Is it really free?
Yes. There is no subscription, no per-call fee, no coaching package waiting at the end. Weave exists because most honest advice about university is locked behind expensive consultants, and the people best placed to give it — students who just went through it — are usually happy to talk for half an hour.
Is this mentorship?
No. It is one conversation, not an ongoing relationship. Nobody is committing to check in on you, review your essays for months or manage your applications. If both of you want to stay in touch afterwards, that is entirely up to you, but the default is a single call and a clean ending.
What should I ask on the call?
The things a prospectus will never tell you: how the workload actually feels in week six, whether people make friends outside their halls, how much the city costs to live in, what they would have changed about their application. Our guides include a long list of questions worth borrowing if you want a starting point.
What if I'm the one giving advice?
University students set their own cap on how many introductions they take, and approve every single request before any contact is shared. You can pause at any point. Most people answer the questions they wish someone had answered for them, once, in thirty minutes, and that is enough.
